What are you thinking about? Are your thoughts consuming you? Do your thoughts have you entangled with something distracting? Are you thinking about what you are doing while you’re thinking? Are you thinking good thoughts? Are they in line with the Word? Do they edify you or someone else?
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. (Ephesians 4:29)
Awaken to the moment. Awaken to your surroundings. Awaken to your thoughts. Awaken to those around you. Think good thoughts – thoughts that are in line with the Word of God. [Things that are - true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of a good report, virtue, and/or praise – think on these things]
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
We are to learn from our past mistakes, not live in condemnation for them.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1)
Do you think (or say out loud), “Awh, now that was stupid. I can’t believe I just did that – I’m so stupid.” Or is it more like, “Hmmm, that didn’t work, I won’t do that anymore. I’ll try something else.”
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: (Proverbs 23:7)

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: (Proverbs 18:21)
God wants us to take our thoughts captive and renew our minds. We have to cast down every thought that isn’t in line with the Word of God.
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24)
We have to renew our minds by reading His Word. It is our responsibility to learn what God has to say about our thoughts, our knowledge, our actions. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to show thyself approved.” That is not for just people in authority, it is for every blood-bought Christian. He loves us. How can we know and enjoy what He has done for us if we don’t know about it? How can we stand on His Word if we don’t know it and read it?

I encourage you to meditate on these scriptures. Stand on the Word of God, it is the solid rock on which you can stand.
