We, the women’s team of The Way of
Holiness, are, once again, pleased to invite you to our annual spring
women’s conference. This year’s theme is All Things Lovely. Our theme
scripture is Whatsoever
things are lovely...think on these. Philippians
4:8.
Each year we strive to provide a day that glorifies and lifts up the name
of Jesus. Our speakers and worship leader are called and anointed by God
to bless and encourage the saints. Our prayer is that each attendee will
experience the manifest presence of the Lord, walking away from the
conference with a greater appreciation for all our God is. May each be
blessed for their effort to lay aside a Saturday and come to be ministered
to, refreshed, and encouraged and more importantly-worship God!
Our featured speaker, once again, is Rita Robinson from Meadowbrook, West
Virginia. Rita fills the house with laughter and yet brings a timely,
anointed Word of God. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and you’ll be touched by
God’s lovely presence. If you have never heard Rita, we encourage to come.
You will know that you have heard a word straight from the mouth of God.
Our worship leader is Dave Marsh from Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. Dave is
the pastor of Crossroads Christian Center in Deep Creek. He is also a very
anointed and talented musician and worship leader. Pastor Dave will also
be teaching a workshop entitled, “His Lovely Praise.” Come and join us as
we worship God in the “beauty of holiness.”
We have six workshops to offer this year: Lovely Contemplation,
See-Through Vision,
His Lovely Praise, Only Skin Deep?-Clothed in Beauty,
An Exquisite Fragrance, and
Dark but Lovely. Our speakers are some of the
best in the area!
Our men’s ministry will be serving lunch. If you do not care for the lunch
being provided, you are welcome to bring your own and dine with us in our
fellowship hall. Our men will still serve you with dessert and your choice
of drink.
We try to focus each year on a closer walk with God. Our conference is
designed to minister to women of all ages and all walks of life. We see
our conference as a ministry to reach God’s beautiful ladies, our sisters
in Christ. May we uphold each other and be a help and encouragement to one
another. That is our ministry. We all desperately need Jesus and need to
see Him in all His glory. We are praying for each of you– that you will
come and join us as we approach His throne and seek His lovely face.
Hope to see you! Be blessed!

- Rita Robinson
Rita Robinson is the Senior Pastor at Mt. Olive Baptist in Salem, WV. Born
to preach, this native of Clarksburg, WV graduated from Zion Bible College
in 1969. She began in ministry as an Evangelist when she was 20 years old.
Her humor and love for her Lord have captivated audiences in the United
States as well as Holland, Germany, and Belize. The enthusiasm and joy she
brings into a room will no doubt leave you energized as she brings God’s
Word in a fresh and hysterical way!
Rita plays piano and accordion and loves to sing for
the Lord. She loves children and has been a children’s pastor for many
years as well. She has an all Christian "murder mystery team" called the
King James Gang. They do Christian entertainment. Rita was born to
entertain and to minister God’s Word. Rita brings God’s Word in a fresh
and hysterical way. She’ll leave you laughing, but will, most importantly,
deeply plant God’s Word in your heart.
Worship leader
Dave Marsh
Dave has been in the ministry for over sixteen years, ministering
throughout West Virginia, Maryland, and Indiana. He’s served from
everything from custodian to Senior Pastor. He spent five years working in
radio ministry and most of his life as a professional musician.
He and his family have been a part of a church plant in West Virginia and
their latest plant is in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland where they currently
pastor.
Dave and his wife, Patty, have been married for 21 years and have been
blessed with 6 wonderful children.
Special Singing - Tiffany Elliott Ministry has always played a big
part in Tiffany’s life, whether it has
been working in
ministry of helps, youth, directing dramas, leading worship, or teaching
and preaching, her heart is to see souls won for Jesus and the body of
Christ working together in unity to accomplish the work of the Lord.
Tiffany, an ordained minister is currently the music director at First
Baptist Church in Elkins, WV and also teaches at West Virginia Christian
University. She recorded a CD in 2007 called I Will Never Leave You which
can be found on iTunes. Tiffany and husband Brian have twin boys, Aaron
and Austin. They enjoy camping, playing board games and just spending time
together as a family. Tiffany graduated from Life Christian University,
with a Master of Arts in Theology; and Southern Bible Institute and
Seminary with a doctorate in Ministry.
“Grace
by Faith” ladies dance team was organized in 2006. The Lord
impressed upon these ladies a longing for more freedom in worship and a
desire to minister through dance. “Grace by Faith” has become a group of
“sisters” unified as a family, holding each other accountable,
encouraging, and showing compassion and unconditional love in times of
need. They do not only minister to others but also to each other. Their
main focus is to glorify the Lord. The Lord has brought them through many
bumps in the road but in the process of traveling that road, he has also
opened many doors for ministering opportunities throughout our local and
surrounding areas. Each dance has been a gift that God has given to “Grace
by Faith” in order to reach out and bless you with God’s love and express
his desire for us to worship him in freedom. May you be blessed and God be
glorified.

"Lovely Contemplations"
Just as there are many choices of fashion and purpose in the shoes we
purchase, so there are many paths that the Lord can lead us down. Find out
how you can be "soled" out making your individual pathway a lovely one.
Fashion and purpose determine our choices of footwear, but God’s will and
direction of the Holy Spirit determine the path we walk down in fulfilling
God’s plan for our lives. Correct shoes make all the difference in the
world. Are you "soled" out? What makes your feet beautiful? What goes into
making your walk lovely? Most of us have done “spur of the moment”
shopping. However, contemplation and seeing what lies ahead are required
to have a lovely walk.
Judy Curtis
Judy was born and raised in a West
Virginian Christian home, the daughter of a pastor. She was born again at
age 7, married husband Jim at the age of 20. They both ran from the call
of God on their lives. After coming back to the Lord and receiving the
Baptism in the Holy Ghost, Judy served in the ministry of helps in several
areas at her home church. She sang with the singing groups, “The
Sojourners” and “The Curtis Family” traveling throughout the surrounding
states. When her husband became fulltime pastor at New Covenant Church in
Junior, she worked as a legal secretary while they served the
congregation. Being a pastor’s wife, she was involved in several areas of
ministry within the church. Judy also has experience speaking at church
functions and ladies meetings.
Since its inception in 1999, Judy has
been a part of West Virginia
Christian University. She is Secretary-Treasurer of West Virginia
Christian Ministries and works alongside her husband to see that the work
of the university is effective. She loves intercessory prayer and feels
the call to pray for the State of West Virginia. Her heart is to see folks
know who they are “in Christ” and discipled so they can walk in the
calling and purpose that God has for their lives. Judy says, “My desire is
to see the Body of Christ experience the fullness of Christ and become
mature in the things of God so that they are equipped to do the work of
the ministry. God has many wonderful things in store for us, and I’m so
glad He has allowed me to be a part of what is happening in the earth
today.”
Judy has a large family of five
children, thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two of her
children are ordained ministers.
Terri, and husband, Terry Young are
missionaries to Vietnam.
"See-Through Vision"
As a bride walks down the aisle and begins a new journey in her life,
there is only a veil that keeps her from seeing clearly and keep others
from seeing her full beauty. As she is presented to her beloved, the veil
is lifted, her vision is clear and her beauty revealed. Join me as we
learn that as the veil is taken off the word of God, our vision changes
and we can see the power, purpose and plan of God for His Bride.
Deborah Swecker
Pastor Deborah serves as co-pastor with husband, Pastor Harold Swecker at
the
Jubilee Outreach Ministries in Mill Creek, West Virginia. She leads
the women’s Jewels of Jubilee Ministries and oversees the JOM dance
worship team. She is pursuing a degree from Beacon Bible College. Deborah
is the mother of three children and the grandmother of 12 grandchildren.
She is an accounting technician with the Division of Highways. Pastor
Deborah’s passion is to teach and advance the Kingdom of God and to touch
others with the love of Christ.
"His Lovely Praise"
Tummy tucks, Botox injections, Lipstick and a Hymnal?
We spend so much of our lives trying to improve our outward appearance.
Thousands of dollars are spent each year attempting to "upgrade" our
lives, but yet many of us still live a shallow, empty existence. Could it
be the upgrade we seek really needs to happen from the inside out? When
God called Israel out of Egypt, the people were enamored with the gold and
the silver they took with them. They were excited about their future
freedom and their trip to "promised land", but they missed the point that
God called them out of bondage to..... worship.
As I look around the Church today, so many people are distracted and
impressed by the glitter and sparkle of God's "blessings" but I think
we've missed the call to worship. I'd love to have you be a part of my
Worship Workshop, and who knows, one blessed participant might even
receive a free bottle of my new WWJD spray on tan!
Dave Marsh
Dave has been in the ministry for over sixteen years, ministering
throughout West Virginia, Maryland, and Indiana. He’s served from
everything from custodian to Senior Pastor. He spent five years working in
radio ministry and most of his life as a professional musician.
He and his family have been a part of a church plant in West Virginia and
their latest plant is in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland where they currently
pastor. Dave and his wife, Patty, have been married for 21 years and have
been blessed with 6 wonderful children.
"Only Skin Deep - Clothed in Beauty"
As a little girl growing up my mother used to tell me that
"pretty
is as pretty does". Have you even seen a woman who you thought was "drop
dead" gorgeous - until she opened her mouth? Proverbs 11:22 says that a
beautiful woman who lacks discretion is like a ring of gold in a pig's
snout. Again in I Peter 3:4 we are admonished to adorn the hidden person
of the heart. In the "Only Skin Deep" workshop we will explore what the
Bible teaches about beauty that radiates from the inside out.
Sheila Tallman
Sheila is the wife of Rev. Jim Tallman, founding pastor of the
Light of Life Chapel in
Belington. She has one son, Brent, and two wonderful granddaughters, Camie
and Kendra. Shelia is a member of their Praise and Worship team and is
substitute teacher for the adult Sunday School class. She is also a full
time employee of the Belington Medical Clinic. Shelia enjoys music,
worship and spending time with family and friends.
"An Exquisite Fragrance"
Women are energized by romance. When we realize just how tenderly Jesus
loves us, an amazing power in us is unleashed. Understanding the concept
of Jesus as our bridegroom can transform our life! Come with me as we take
a look into the love story of the Song of Solomon, as w ell
as scriptures looking at incense and how this applies to us today.
Together, let’s gaze into our bridegroom’s eyes and learn how to release
our lives to be “an exquisite fragrance” to our God.
Sherlene Gibson Payne
Sherlene is an anointed teacher of God’s Word. She was saved in a small
Methodist church where she taught Sunday School for years. She was married
to her first husband, Donald Gibson, for 30 years. He went home to be with
the Lord on June 11, 1994. She and Donald have two sons, Donald and Ronald
and three beautiful granddaughters: Kaitlyn, Danielle, and Kaily. One
great granddaughter, Kaylie and one great grandson, William.
On October 25, 1997, Sherlene married Franklin Payne, whose first wife,
Judy, also went to be with the Lord in January of 1994. Sherlene’s two
stepson’s are Mack and Todd Payne, a stepdaughter Kimberly and five step
grandchildren: Haley, Derek, Justin, Cole and Cameron.
Sherlene and husband, Frank, reside in Buckhannon, West Virginia where
they attend The Way of Holiness Church.
"Dark but Lovely" Whose
world are we influencing with the Glorious Light of the Gospel? We are
called to be world changers! Many of us continue to struggle with
responding to this call and we struggle in the dark because we have not
accepted that we have been made worthy to carry the light to a lost and
dying world....your world...wherever YOU are. Fear, insecurity and
comparing ourselves have held us back far too long...it's time to get up,
carry your light and "Run to the Darkness"!
"Carry your candle, run
to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world"
Pam Hedrick
Pam is the Worship Leader at The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon, WV.
She has served the body of Christ in the areas of cleaning the church,
working with children, teaching at a Bible college, but the dearest to her
heart is leading God’s people in worship. As believers, she believes, we
all are called to serve in the local church and to make a difference in
our world by demonstrating the love, light and power of God! Pam works as
the Director of the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg,
WV. She has been married for 15 years to Bobby Hedrick, her best friend
and the love of her life. They and their five year old son, Daniel, reside
in Buckhannon, WV.
