Hurricane Katrina - Relief effort - 2005

This house we tore out all of the drywall and insulation up to 4 feet high, so we could remove black mold

This is Brother Rahr's house, who is standing on the right, with Fred Maxwell in the middle, and Mike Schwartz on the
left. We are saying goodbye to Brother Rahr after finishing removing black mold from his house.
This is a front view of his house after we cleaned it out, and threw all the damaged possessions away. The camper on the
left was provided by FEMA for him to live in for one year.
Here is Joe and Steve goofing around after work one day - at a church's relief center where we stayed That is the church that housed us, and a view of their relief center after hours This is one of three washer and dryer units that we installed at the church for people in the community who didn't have
any laundry facilities.
Here is Joe Maxwell and his dad, Fred Maxwell doing tearout in a flooded house Here is a picture of after most of the tearout was done. As you can see, we had to tear out everything from the floor up
to 4 feet high
